Warhammer/Citadel Colour - Layer Paints

Citadel Layer paints are smooth, high-quality acrylics formulated with lower opacity than Base paints. Engineered to be slightly translucent, they are designed to be applied in thin coats over foundation colors, letting the underlying tones subtly show through to create smooth gradients, rich mid-tones, and crisp highlights without obscuring fine molded details.

What they are good for:
