Base: XV-88 (12ML)

A dense, rich ochre-brown Citadel Base paint formulated with high-opacity pigments to provide excellent, uniform coverage over both dark and light undercoats. Packaged in a 12ml pot.

What it’s good for:

~ Serving as the essential, historic foundation layer for the classic ochre armor plates and high-tech combat suits of the T'au Empire (specifically the T'au Sept)

~ Painting heavy, industrial mechanical parts, rugged sci-fi construction chassis, and military utility gear

~ Providing a solid, opaque undercoat for weathered leather garments, heavy trench cloaks, and thick cargo pouches

~ Creating an earthy, rich base coat for arid clay badlands, desert canyons, and sun-baked mud on textured bases

What it goes well with:

~ Agrax Earthshade (Shade wash for clean, industrial recess lines and deep, dirty shadows)

~ Balor Brown (Layer mid-tone highlight to build up the classic, warm ochre transition)

~ Unbound Fleshtone or Ushabti Bone (Fine edge highlight to give the sharpest armor panels a crisp, clean finish)
