Contrast: Contrast Medium (18ML)

A specialized, colorless Citadel Technical fluid formulated with the exact high-flow, low-viscosity medium used to create the Contrast paint range. Designed to thin down Contrast paints without breaking their unique chemical properties, it allows you to control color intensity while maintaining perfect recess-pooling behavior. Packaged in a 24ml pot.

What it’s good for:

~ Thinning down intense Contrast colors to create custom, delicate glazes, soft skin washes, and subtle tinting effects over light undercoats

~ Ensuring that thinned-down paint still flows smoothly away from flat surfaces and pools perfectly into crevices (standard water will break this tension and cause ugly tide-marks)

~ Blending smooth transitions and seamless color gradients directly on a miniature by slowing down drying times slightly

~ Creating a transparent, tinted shade wash out of any standard Contrast paint to tint armor plates, fabrics, or metallic bases without darkening them too much

What it goes well with:

~ Any paint in the Citadel Contrast range (Mix in varying ratios, such as 1:1 for a lighter tint or 4:1 Medium to Paint for a subtle glaze)

~ Wraithbone, Grey Seer, or White Scar (The ideal foundation undercoats that ensure your custom Contrast mixes glide and shade exactly as intended)

~ Base or Layer paints (Can be mixed with traditional paints in small amounts to alter their transparency and flow characteristics for advanced glazing techniques)
