Contrast: Wyldwood (18ML)

A deep, dark timber-brown Citadel Contrast paint formulated with heavy pigments suspended in a unique, flowing medium. Designed to wash over a light undercoat, it automatically pools in the deep crevices while leaving a translucent tint on raised surfaces, delivering a rich base coat, heavy shadow, and clean highlight all in a single application. Packaged in an 18ml pot.

What it’s good for:

~ Instantly painting dark, gnarled tree bark, ancient forest roots, and living sylvan wyldwoods

~ Creating realistic, dark leather items like heavy boots, trench coats, saddles, and weapon holsters

~ Providing a fast, high-contrast base for dark brown beast fur, monstrous hides, and avian feathers

~ Shading and staining wooden structural elements, including trench planks, ship decks, and fantasy tavern doors

What it goes well with:

~ Wraithbone or Grey Seer (Contrast undercoats—Wraithbone draws out a warmer, richer wood grain, while Grey Seer provides a colder, weathered finish)

~ Agrax Earthshade (Shade wash if you want to push the shadows into near-black opacity)

~ Sylvaneth Bark or Gorthor Brown (Drybrush or edge highlight to catch the rough texture and mimic natural, weathered wood edges)
