Shade: Carrobug Crimson (18ML)

A deep, rich burgundy Citadel Shade wash formulated to flow effortlessly into the recesses of your miniatures. It is designed to settle into cracks, folds, and details to create natural, instant shadows while leaving a subtle, warm crimson tint on raised surfaces. Packaged in an 18ml pot.

What it’s good for:

~ Adding instant depth, muscle definition, and a warm, organic lifelike shadow to deep skin tones and chaotic flesh

~ Shading red armor plates, cloth robes, and banners to create rich, velvety transitions and dark crimson recesses

~ Shading bright copper, gold, or brass metallics to give them a warm, antique, or uniquely burnished crimson finish

~ Simulating bruised flesh, irritated skin around mutations, or dried, deep recess blood on grimdark models

What it goes well with:

~ Mephiston Red, Khorne Red, or Bloodreaver Flesh (Base foundation tones that welcome a rich, warm crimson shadow)

~ Evil Sunz Scarlet, Wild Rider Red, or Wazdakka Red (Layer paints used to bring back the vibrancy on raised surfaces after shading)

~ Flesh Tearers Red or Doomfire Magenta (Contrast paints—Carroburg Crimson is perfect for deepening the absolute darkest recesses of these vibrant tones)
