Technical: Stormshield (24ML)

A specialized matte-finish Citadel Technical paint formulated to provide a tough, protective sealing layer over your completed miniatures. Unlike standard gloss varnishes, it dries to a completely flat, non-reflective finish that locks in your paint job and protects it from scratches, oils, and handling. Packaged in a 24ml pot.

What it’s good for:

~ Applying a durable, protective topcoat to frequently handled tabletop miniatures to prevent paint from chipping or rubbing off the edges

~ Removing the unwanted shine or glossy sheen left behind by certain shade washes, decals, and gloss varnishes, restoring a realistic, matte texture

~ Sealing and protecting cloth robes, leather gear, weathered armor, and earthy terrain bases where a natural, light-absorbing finish is required

~ Acting as a solid, smooth foundation layer over slick surfaces before applying final freehand details or delicate glazes

What it goes well with:

~ Ardcoat (The companion gloss varnish—use Ardcoat first for maximum structural protection, then layer Stormshield over it to kill the shine)

~ Decal Fix / Decal Softener (Apply Stormshield over dry transfers and water-slide decals to blend the transparent edges seamlessly into the model)

~ Any completed paint scheme using Base, Layer, or Contrast paints that you want to preserve exactly as you painted it
